Amelia & Bradford
Tucked away in the hills of eastern Tennessee, the campus of Sewanee sits as a hidden gem of the south. Appearing as castles towering over the trees between the Appalachian foothills, the stunning gothic architecture and stone buildings provided the backdrop for Amelia and Bradford to meet each other during her freshmen year. Several years later, after graduating and moving on, this same campus would provide the backdrop for their wedding.
Caroline & Dalton
It all started as simple neighbors and morning dog walks, where casual conversations turned into deep connections. Encouraged by their friends to take a chance on each other, Caroline and Dalton finally agreed to go on a date, which marked the beginning of their incredible journey together.
Kelli & Seyi
It’s incredible to watch a relationship grow over 7 years. And it’s even more incredible to have the opportunity to help tell that story when it culminates in marriage. Kelli and Seyi are two of the most thoughtful and caring people I know. Every bit of their wedding weekend was filled with the love, support, and celebration of SO many others who also had been cheering them on since the beginning. An all around amazing weekend in Memphis! Love you both!
Ashlyn & Parker
There are not enough words to accurately describe how incredible Ashlyn and Parker's wedding day was. Having already filmed her sister, Bradyn's, wedding just a year ago, I was incredibly excited to hear from them after Ashlyn and Parker got engaged. The Eaves sisters got to planning another wedding, and of course, they pulled it off just as beautifully as the last one. Ashlyn and Parker's style, personality, and genuineness were so present in every detail of the day, and it only made my job easier. From the stunning venue that Castle Hill provides to the beautiful words their friends and family had for them at the rehearsal dinner, everything about the day was perfect. It was such an honor to be there and play a small role in capturing the day. Cheers to these two!
Rae & Justin
Any time a couple has been together for 7 years before getting married, you know every detail of the wedding has been planned out for a while. Rae and Justin did not disappoint anyone with the incredible style and details put into their wedding day. The dresses, the suits, the decor and details, and especially the stunning florals by Fresh Cut. Everything could not have been more perfect. And to top it all off, Rae, Justin, their family and friends are simply exceptional people all around. What an incredibly joyful and beautiful day and such an honor to play a small part in telling their story!
MaryScott & Logan
I don't know what exactly I was expecting going into the first wedding of the year, but every single aspect of this day blew me away. Firstly, the people! MaryScott, Logan, and every single one of their family and friends are the most genuine and kind people. Just an absolute joy to work with and film all day long. Second, literally everything else, the stunning Capitol Hotel and Robinson Center, with incredible views and even more incredible decor from the amazing vendor team, Logan's reaction to seeing MaryScott (best first look I've ever seen), the perfect timing of their first dance at sunset, and the killer party they threw at the reception. This one had it ALL, and I could not have been more honored to be there and witness it, much less, have the opportunity to capture it all and tell their story. Thanks for setting such a high bar for my first Little Rock wedding! It was such a blast putting this one together!
How to Give a Good wedding speech
So, you've got a close friend or family member getting married soon and you've either been selected or "voluntold" to give a speech. Whether you're great on the mic or hate being in front of people, you're probably feeling both a little nervous and excited. Either way, you know you want to knock this one out of the park to give the couple a speech they'll remember for years to come. Well, I'm here to help! After 8 years in this industry, I have heard hundreds of wedding speeches. I've heard them all, amazing, terrible, boring, hilarious, and even some disturbing speeches. Regardless, I've noticed a few things that I think would go a long way in helping you write an amazing speech.
What Makes a Good Wedding Film?
If you've watched any wedding films before you have definitely noticed that there are some films you just enjoy more than others, right? So, what actually makes those videos good? After working in this industry for over 7 years, I'd like to think that I have at least some idea of how to make a good video, and there's a lot to it!
How Much Does Wedding Videography Cost?
This is a VERY common inquiry I receive, and it makes total sense. Most couples have never planned a wedding before, and they have no clue what to expect pricing-wise with almost any of the vendors they reach out to. I know that was the case for me and my wife. Even though I work in the wedding industry, I had the same problem when it came to the costs of things like catering, florists, and venue pricing; I had no idea what to expect! While I can't help most of the other industries, I can break down what all goes into wedding videography and what makes the costs more or less expensive, so, hopefully, this will give you a better idea of what to expect as you begin your planning!
Joyce & Bretty
My first conversation with Joyce and Bretty was in 2019 when they booked me for their wedding in the summer of 2020. We all know what happened there… So, we were then scheduled for 2021. And once again, we all know how that went. Finally, we were all able to meet and celebrate in person in the summer of 2022. We joke that after 3 years, we’re actually just friends now instead of simply vendors/clients, and that honestly feels so true. Joyce and Bretty are so intentional, kind, and genuine in their interactions with every person they come in contact with, and it was so fun to watch them from a distance over the past 3 years in preparation for their wedding.
Bradyn & Trace
Bradyn and Trace's story is definitely one of coming full circle. It started all the way back in middle school when they first decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend. That relationship lasted all of one whole day, as most middle school relationships do. However, unlike most middle school relationships, that was not the end of their story. Living in a small town, they always remained friends throughout all of high school and even into college. Until one wedding brought the two of them together again and it changed everything.
Amy & Justin
From meeting in college, to dating, to changing life plans for each other, and to finally getting married, Amy & Justin have had a long road to this moment. It could not have been more fitting for them to make the trip to Amy's family home in Oahu to have the ceremony. Surrounded by only their closest friends and family who have been there throughout the whole journey, the weekend was filled with so many fun events, intimate moments, and big celebrations. It could not have been more perfect. It was such an incredible honor to not just meet and spend the weekend with Amy & Justin, but to have the opportunity to make the trip all the way out and be trusted to capture all the details and stories of the weekend.
Heather & Ben
If you were to google "marry your best friend" the very first result should be a picture of Heather and Ben. I don't even know where to begin with these two. Have you ever met a couple that has been dating since high school and is both still so obsessed with each other? After watching this one, you'll know exactly what I mean. They truly are still best friends through and through and never seem to grow tired of each other. And you can see that their families agree.
Alyssa & Ty
I don't even know where to begin with these two. One of the most fun-loving, easy-going, and friendly couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. And I'm not just saying that because they brought us all the way out to Cancun to shoot their wedding. I would have filmed their wedding no matter where it was.
Marlie & Christian
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: shooting a friend's wedding is the best. Knowing their story, their background, and having a back seat view to how they made it to their wedding day is huge. It allows me to tell a story in so much more depth than I normally would, which then allows me to go all out when putting it together. Knowing all of that background, Marlie and Christian's wedding was even more incredible than simply the surface of it.
Emily & Gabriel
After dealing with all of the trouble of planning and then postponing a wedding in 2020 all while preparing for a move to Alaska, both Emily and Gabriel concluded that they would be better off just keeping things small. And there's no better way to keep things small than having an elopement at home when you happen to live in one of the most beautiful places in the country!
Ali & Brayden
The first thing you need to know is that Ali and Brayden met on Snapchat. Yes, you read that right. Snapchat! After knowing who she was through mutual friends, Brayden thought he would shoot his shot and randomly send her a Snap one day. Well, at first that didn't seem to work out too well when Ali left him on read and didn't respond. However, after a few weeks, and a little involvement from their family members, Ali eventually decided maybe he was worth responding to. And the rest was history, they went on their first date that very night that she responded and immediately realized there was something special here.
