Morgann & Davey
It's hard to know where to begin with this wedding. The most kind and caring couple surrounded by the overwhelming joy of their closest friends and family. With Morgann's love to gather her favorite people and Davey's infectious joy, this weekend in the mountains was the most perfect way to celebrate such an important day. This wasn't like any other wedding.
What do you do when you are trying to plan a wedding in a pandemic? Well, Morgann and Davey chose probably the best option out there, which was to book a stunning Airbnb in the mountains of North Carolina and bring all of their closest friends and family to celebrate their marriage. And it's a special marriage for many reasons. You see, these two have actually been friends for years and years before they ever started dating. Sounds like a classic set up for a rom-com, right? Their close friends would always whisper about how they were perfect for each other and hold on to the hope that one day, something would finally spark. Well throw in a trip to Iceland where they first started to fall for each other and you then complete that set up leading to the two of them finally dating just a couple years later.
A small intimate wedding with only their closest loved ones around them, could not have been a better representation of these two and their personalities. As crazy as it sounds, they were able to find their wedding venue, a beautiful house in the mountains near Asheville, on Airbnb. From there, everything else was easy. Morgann's style and attention to detail could rival that of almost any wedding planner, so it was a given that all the details and decorations would be absolutely stunning. After a small ceremony, a beautiful reception dinner, and speeches from close friends and family, everyone spent the rest of the night on the dance floor.
This is actually the third wedding I've had the honor of capturing for this group of family and friends, and every time they welcome me in with open arms. It's very rare for me to have the chance to spend a full weekend with a wedding party, but it's even more unique to spend that weekend feeling more like a welcome guest rather than a vendor. That's what makes these two and all of those around them so special.
