Have you ever met a couple that is just completely enamored with each other? Once you hear Katharine and Matthew's story, their strong feelings for each other make a lot more sense. Fate brought them together with a chance meeting on a beach in South Carolina. It took less than a day for each of them to realize that there was something special between them, and the rest is history.

Both Katharine and Matthew wear their hearts on their sleeves. Walk into a room where they are present and you will immediately feel the joy radiating off of them. They are one of those couples that you see together and it just makes sense. Their big personalities showed through so brightly, that capturing their story was one of the easiest I have ever had the chance to film. Every bit of their day was filled with overwhelming joy and excitement for what was to come, not just for the actual marriage ceremony, but for their future life together.

Surrounded by their close friends and family, they held a beautifully simple ceremony followed by a huge party to celebrate. Along with those family and friends, Katharine's late sister, Margaret, was not forgotten at all. Although she passed away in 2019, her presence was made known throughout the entire day with all of the stories, memories, and even a large picture of her inside her old wheelchair was at the foot of the stage, so that she could still play her part as a member of the wedding party.

Their wedding and reception were both held at the beautiful Millbottom in downtown Jefferson City just steps away from the capitol building. I cannot stress enough how much of an honor it was to capture the story of these two. Their high energy and excitement made creating this film so much easier, and I could not be happier with how this one turned out!
